Applications that use neural processing to retouch photos continue to proliferate. The latest to arrive is PortraitAI, an app with which you can turning a photo into a renaissance-style paintingsimilar to AI portraits, the now extinct web created as an experiment at MIT.
PortraitAI is a free application available for both Android, iPhone and iPad phones, although if you want to take full advantage of it and remove the watermark, a subscription is required. Use is as easy as upload a photo and receive three “painted” versions with slightly different styles.
Your portraits become works of art
If you’ve used a similar neural enhancement application, PortraitAI works in a very similar way. As a user, all you have to do is upload a photo from your gallery or take a new one using the camera on your cell phone. The rest is taken care of by the application.
The results are at least curious, and although sometimes you have to be imaginative to find the relationship with the original photo, having three to choose from, you have a better chance of receiving a “picture” of your interest. First of all, the app shows the result in a 2 x 2 grid, although by touching the grid button you can see the four photos on a carouselone by one.
After turning your selfie into a work of art, you can save the result as an image -with a watermark- or share it directly with other applications. The app is free, although paying a subscription unlocks more styles, processing without queues and without advertising.
