With the heat and vacation dates, there are not a few who decide to go to the beach to enjoy the sand and the sea. In Engadget Mobile we already indicate eleven apps to avoid crowds and know the state of the beaches, but today we want to focus on one that, probably, be the most complete (and at the same time easy to use) and that was left out of said list.
The app is called Infomedusa, it accumulates more than 100,000 downloads in the Google Play Store and, in addition to informing about the state of the beaches, indicates information related to jellyfish, which year after year pose a problem for bathers.
Infomedusa, a complete app to know the state of the beaches
Despite its name, Infomedusa is an app that provides complete information on the state of the beaches. When opening the app, we have almost all the beaches in Spain listed, ordered by distance or, if we want, by cities. It has a huge database on Spanish beaches and the information is constantly updated.
When we click on any beach, we will have access to all relevant information about it, updated every hour.
- Wind speed
- Wave height
- Expected flag
- Beach capacity
- Direction of the wind
- Jellyfish level
- Algae level
As you can see, the amount of information displayed is more than complete, so that we can get an idea of what we are going to find when we go to the beach. The thing does not end here and it is that, as its name indicates, this app emphasizes the world of jellyfish.
Within the app we have a list with all the jellyfish there, a complete description of its morphology, habitat and bite, as well as treatment information in case we get stung by a jellyfish.
