We all know that a decent Wi-Fi network is protected by a password, and that to enter it on the iPhone it is enough to access Settings, ‘Wi-Fi’ section and search for the network we want to enter. But knowing that some of these passwords can be long and complicated, iOS has a few tricks up its sleeve for you. we can enter those Wi-Fi without having to use that password.
QR codes, iCloud or friends with iPhone: any of those three factors does the magic
The first of those methods is through the camera and a QR code. Some operators already put that code with the credentials of the Wi-Fi network directly in the Router itself, so that we only have to open the Camera app and focus on that QR code to be able to access the network.
If you want to take advantage of this function and you don’t have that QR code on your router, remember that you can generate your own by following this tutorial. It takes less than five minutes, so you don’t have to reveal your password to anyone.
Another way to be able to enter a Wi-Fi network without entering your password is ask someone with an iPhone to share it with you. As we already told you in its day, you need that someone to be connected to the network and have their iPhone unlocked. If this is the case, you only need to access Settings> Wi-Fi and select the network you want to enter. Your friend will see a dialog that will offer to share the password with you without having to know or enter it.
Also, remember that your iPhone will automatically connect to a protected Wi-Fi network if any other Apple device you have has already done so before. The password is shared by iCloud, and the iPhone will load it even if it is the first time it connects to that network. Fast and easy.
