iPhone 13 will be a linear evolution of iPhone 12 and there will be no iPhone SE 3 until 2022, according to new rumors

We haven’t introduced the new iPhone 12 yet, but there are already sources that dare to mention the iPhone 13 or even the occasional model that we won’t see until 2022. This is the case of Ross Young, an analyst specializing in screens that claims to know and the First touches of the iPhone 13 models.

According to Young, the iPhone 13 would be fairly consistent with the iPhone 12: we would have four different models of 5.4, 6.1 and 6.7 inches that would retain a design very similar to the current one. The differential point would be the 120Hz of refreshment that would arrive thanks to the new panels with LTPO technology. A report from Kuo a few weeks ago fits this new font.

The “iPhone SE 3” would arrive in 2022

The cameras we’ll see on the more expensive iPhone 12 models will be the ones carrying the cheaper iPhone 13 models, while the high-end iPhone 13 will have even larger sensors in its lens. All iPhone 13 models will have 5G, at least in sub-6GHz mode while the more expensive models will use mmWave technology.

Another thing that Young gives us is that we won’t see a new iPhone SE until 2022so the current generation still has about two years to live. Which makes perfect sense when you consider that it’s powered by the A13 Bionic chip, the same chip that powers today’s iPhone 11 Pro. And since it’s the most economical model, it makes sense to update it less often.

iPhone 12 Pro will have 128GB of base storage, according to Prosser

However, these are all very early leads and Apple’s plans may change. For now, let’s focus on the iPhone 12, which could arrive at an event on October 13th according to the latest rumors. If so, we should see official confirmation of that event sometime next week.
