If you thought that everything was already said about the next generation of the iPhone, if you are one of those who already knows how to list all the features that are going to be revealed, watch out. EverythingApplePro has unearthed a feature that hasn’t been talked about in a long time: wireless charging of accessories from the phone itself.
The iPhone as an external battery: the possibility is back on the table
As we can see in the last video of the source, the iPhone 13 (or iPhone 12S) will have a larger coil with more powerful magnets. That could allow that, in addition to charging without cables, the iPhone could become a charging base for accessories like AirPods.
Whether it happens or not, this change in the coil can also mean higher charging voltage and better heat distribution on the device. Maybe Apple wants to release some official faster charging system, although that is not something that EverythingApplePro explicitly mentions.
The video ends by suggesting that the presentation event of these iPhones may be scheduled for the third week of September. That would take the launch to the end of the month at the earliest, perhaps more towards the beginning of October.
